January is a great time to start new things!
If you walk to school once a week, trying walking to school twice a week.
If you walk or roll every day, try to get a friend to join you.
If you usually drive your child to school and you live within walking distance, try walking once a month. 
If you live too far from the school, see if there are other families who live near you to form a carpool.
If your child's bike is hiding in the garage in disrepair, take a trip to your local bike shop. 
If you drive, try leaving enough time so you can park a few blocks away and walk the rest of the way with your child.


The walk to school is a chance to share, teach and talk with your kids without the stress of honking horns and backed-up traffic. Give it a try!

Enero es un buen momento para comenzar cosas nuevas!
Si usted camina a la escuela una vez por semana, tratando de caminar a la escuela dos veces por semana.
Si usted camina o rollo de todos los días, tratar de conseguir un amigo que lo acompañe.
Si normalmente la unidad a su hijo a la escuela y que viven a poca distancia, trate de caminar una vez al mes.
Si usted vive muy lejos de la escuela, ver si hay otras familias que viven cerca de usted para formar un carpool.
Si la bicicleta de su niño se esconde en el garaje en mal estado, hacer un viaje a su tienda local de bicicletas.
Si usted conduce, intente dejar el tiempo suficiente para que pueda parque a unas cuadras de distancia y caminar el resto del camino con su hijo.

The State of California has passed a new law changing the age in which students will be eligible for Kindergarten, starting in August of 2012. At that time, children who are born in September, October or November will be eligible to become part of an exciting new program called “Transitional Kindergarten” which will be a jump start class for these students before going to kindergarten.

The district is convening a committee of teachers and administrators to design the program plan, and we will be providing parents with more information throughout this school year so everyone can be prepared for this change. Noticias sobre el próximo año escolar de Kínder - 2012/2013

El estado de California ha pasado una nueva ley que cambia la edad en la cual los estudiantes serán elegibles para Kínder, el próximo año comienza en agosto 2012. En esa fecha, los niños que nacen en septiembre, octubre o noviembre serán elegibles para un nuevo y emocionante programa, conocido como “Kínder Transicional,” que les dará a los niños impulso adicional antes de entrar a Kínder.

El distrito ha conformado un comité de maestros y administradores para diseñar el plan del programa,  los padres recibirán más información en el transcurso del presente año escolar, así todos podremos estar listos para este cambio.
